Neil spent 40+ years in NYC where he grew up and hit every kids’ exacta. He first became a police officer and then a fireman. Through his 24yrs of working the streets of NY he came face to face with fear and found numerous ways of harnessing its power and using that power to take action instead of becoming frozen by it.
In his free time Neil enjoys spending time outdoors mountain biking, fishing, and hiking with his wife and two children.
Kevin joined SVN | Wood Properties’ commercial brokerage team in November 2017. After
graduating from South Young High School in Knoxville, Kevin joined the United States Navy
and served in Operation Desert Storm aboard the USS Goldsborough DDG-20 sailing out of
Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Kevin obtained his real estate license in May of 2000 and has since
specialized in working with investors looking for single and multifamily investment properties in
East Tennessee. Kevin and Cohl formed the multifamily team in 2020 and have since added their colleague Jon Roosen to the team. With over 20 years of experience, Kevin has watched his

Cohl grew up in a small, rural town and saw firsthand how real estate sales and development can have a positive impact on a community. While a student at the University of Tennessee, Cohl
interned with SVN | Wood Properties. Upon graduation, he joined the company as an advisor.
Cohl developed a passion for multifamily investment properties early in his career. He now
specializes in multifamily investment properties alongside his colleagues and teammates, Kevin
Tipton and Jon Roosen. Cohl loves people and solving problems, and he wants to help
communities thrive through real estate sales and development.

Wood Properties multifamily team, Jon worked for a large commercial real estate investment
firm and learned firsthand how real estate investors can positively impact the communities in
which they invest. An investor himself, Jon brings 5+ years of experience and is a general
partner in more than $80,000,000 worth of real estate. He strives to bring a positive change the
industry. Jon has an extensive background working with local and national investors, helping
them find multifamily properties throughout Tennessee.

Lindsey Hobbs is a Partner with Breeding Olinzock Carter Crippen, P.C. in Knoxville, Tennessee, representing business and individuals in both commercial real estate transactions and litigation. Prior to relocating to Knoxville, Tennessee, Lindsey practiced in Savannah, Georgia, representing financial institutions in commercial matters, including issues surrounding post-foreclosure commercial properties. Licensed in the state and federal courts of Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina, Lindsey represents clients throughout the country in commercial transactions, including the acquisition and sale of multifamily and commercial properties and establishment of business entities.

I began my work as a title clearer over 20 years ago in Maryland and since then, have spent my career learning every position in a title company handling residential and commercial transactions, and expanded my company by gaining licensing in several states. Surviving the market crash of 2008 was a huge challenge and resulted in a lot of industry change, but that time also came with huge advancements in technology and education that have allowed me to learn and teach others how to communicate more clearly and be more mobile. This has been my pathway for my current position as a Branch Manager and Partner of a wonderful company, Passport Title Services, LLC. Here, I am able implement my own processes that are focused on impeccable client service and mobile settlements.

FIG Solutions, a non-profit, was founded in early 2020 by Clay and Katie. After investing in real estate and growing their property management company for several years, they realized that more needed to be done to help solve the affordability and access to housing crisis. Specializing in access to affordable housing, FIG Solutions provides rent relief, deposit assistance, family housing and transitional housing. FIG Solutions believes in partnering with other community agencies that have the same goals, combining our efforts for the greatest outcomes possible.
Katie and Clay have been married for 20 years and have six children. Two of their children are an adopted brother and sister who experienced some degree of homelessness early in life. Katie deeply understands that being able to say “yes” and give people a chance that maybe others haven’t given is the key to changing someone’s story and the story of the community.

Marshall Friedman is currently pursuing real estate investing full time with a focus on the multifamily and RV space. Marshall has been invested in real estate for over five years.
Prior to pursuing real estate investing full time, Mr. Friedman was a member of Houlihan Lokey’s investment banking Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) Group where he executed sell side and capital raise mandates for clients. His responsibilities included all aspects of the deal process, such as financial modeling, performing due diligence, creating marketing materials, and coordinating deal execution.
Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Friedman worked in Business Development and Marketing for Alibaba Group’s Tmall.com, where his responsibilities included working with international brands to reach Chinese consumers through China’s largest brands and retail platform. Prior to his time at Tmall.com, he was part of Alibaba Group’s International Business Development and Marketing team to attract and educate international buyers to conduct business on the world’s largest wholesale trade platform, Alibaba.com.
Mr. Friedman holds a B.S. in Business Administration and a minor in Chinese from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
